Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain. This rewarding role involves providing hands-on therapy, educating patients on exercises and techniques, and monitoring their progress.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in the implementation of therapeutic exercises and activities prescribed by the physical therapist
• Help patients perform stretches, strengthening exercises, and other maneuvers to improve mobility
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes
• Provide guidance and support to patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises
• Use therapeutic equipment and modalities, such as heat and cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
• Collaborate with the physical therapist to create personalized treatment plans for each patient
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
• Current certification and licensure as a physical therapy assistant
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy principles
• Ability to lift and move patients safely
• CPR certification
