Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries or illnesses and improve their overall physical health. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, carrying out therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patients' progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
2. Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including therapeutic exercises and manual techniques.
3. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
4. Monitor patients' progress and report back to the supervising physical therapist.
5. Help patients with mobility and daily living activities.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
8. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises.
6. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
7. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
