Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our long term care facility team. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their quality of life through therapeutic activities and exercises. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for residents.

2. Work with residents to improve their ability to perform daily activities and tasks.

3. Teach residents how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices.

4. Monitor and document residents' progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist.

5. Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and progress.

6. Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents and their families.

7. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.

8. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

2. Current OTA license or certification.

3. Previous experience working in a long term care facility is preferred.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

6. Compassionate and patient demeanor.

7. Proficient in basic computer skills.

8. Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
