Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will work with clients to help them achieve independence in their daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. The OT will assess clients' needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help clients reach their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' strengths and limitations
2. Develop treatment goals and plans based on evaluation findings
3. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
4. Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop a holistic treatment approach
5. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
6. Educate clients and families on strategies to improve functioning in daily activities
7. Document treatment sessions and progress reports in a timely and accurate manner
8. Stay up to date on current research and best practices in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
2. Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Experience working with diverse populations and age groups
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
6. Knowledge of evidence-based practice in Occupational Therapy
7. Certification in specialized areas of Occupational Therapy is a plus
