Seeking an Associate to join its investment team during a significant growth phase. Working directly alongside the firm's Vice President / Principal and Managing Directors, the Associate will play a critical role in evaluating new investment opportunities, supporting transaction execution, and monitoring portfolio company performance.
This position offers exceptional exposure to the full investment lifecycle within a lean,
entrepreneurial private equity environment. The successful candidate will have the
opportunity to work directly with senior decision-makers while developing deep experience
in special situations, recapitalizations, carve-outs, and operationally focused investments.
Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, operating, valuation, and transaction models
- Analyze historical financial statements, operating performance, and key business drivers
- Conduct industry, market, customer, and competitive research
- Assist with commercial, operational, financial, and legal due diligence processes
- Review quality of earnings reports and third-party diligence materials
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentation materials, and supporting analyses for investment committee discussions
Transaction Execution
- Support all stages of transaction execution, from initial evaluation through closing
- Coordinate with lenders, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and other advisors
- Assist with deal structuring analysis and transaction documentation
- Manage diligence requests, data rooms, and transaction workstreams
Portfolio Monitoring
- Track portfolio company financial and operating performance
- Assist in preparing board presentations, quarterly reviews, and internal reporting packages
- Monitor KPIs and support value-creation initiatives across portfolio companies
- Perform ad hoc analysis related to acquisitions, recapitalizations, and strategic Initiatives
Firm Development
- Support sourcing efforts through market research and industry mapping
- Maintain pipeline and transaction databases
- Assist with sector research and investment thesis development
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm's investment processes and infrastructure
Qualifications Required:
- 2–5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, restructuring, transaction advisory, valuation, or management consulting
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Experience working on mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings, or other complex transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred
- Prior experience in private equity, restructuring advisory, special situations investing, or investment banking
- Exposure to industrials, aerospace & defense, manufacturing, or business services sectors
- Demonstrated interest in special situations, turnarounds, and value-oriented investing
- CFA, MBA, or progress toward professional certifications
