We are seeking a Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations within a chemical production environment. This role is responsible for optimizing processes, troubleshooting operational issues, improving product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, improving yield, and maximizing throughput.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, process variability, and opportunities for optimization.
- Create and maintain process documentation including P&IDs, SOPs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to plant operations and assist with real-time troubleshooting.
- Perform root cause analysis for process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental, and company safety standards.
- Work closely with maintenance, quality, R&D, and EHS teams to support process changes and new product implementation.
- Monitor process performance metrics and recommend operational improvements to maintain stable production.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies, automation systems, and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering such as Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or related discipline.
- Experience within chemical manufacturing, industrial processing, batch processing, or continuous manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with PSM, HAZOP, MOC, PSSR, and other risk assessment or process safety methodologies.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
