About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate to join a growing legal practice in Livingston, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have substantial New Jersey family law experience, strong legal writing and research skills, and hands-on experience handling family law matters.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of New Jersey family law matters.
- Represent clients in New Jersey Family Court proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide sound legal analysis.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide case updates.
- Manage cases and work toward favorable resolutions.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex family law matters.
Requirements
- 6–7 years of New Jersey Family Law experience.
- Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.
- New Jersey Family Court experience required.
- Strong legal writing and legal research skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on family law experience.
- New York Family Law experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters.
- A portable book of business is preferred.
