CNA Duties:
- Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with ambulation and transfers
- Collect specimens for testing
- Assist with medical procedures such as gastric lavage and airway management
- Use electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner to document patient information
- Provide support to patients with behavioral health needs or special needs
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment
CNA Skills:
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper use
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and patient care
