Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:Join this high impact team as a Network Engineer (P1) to ensure the smooth operation of classified network infrastructure at our Raytheon locations. The installation, maintenance, support and monitoring of the network infrastructure will be performed. Candidate must have a solid background supporting networks. This role is onsite at our Tucson, AZ location. This role is not eligible for Relocation support.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.Develop technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings,Prepare or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment.Assist with design or a portion of network that includes selection of hardware and software packages.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree, or an additional 1 year of Network Administration/Engineering/STEM work experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college (i.e. AS 2 years or in lieu of degree would typically require at least 4 Years’ experience)Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Networking products.Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
