Quality is how R2S (Raytheon‑Rafael Area Protection Systems) earns trust. Join us as a Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer and lead systemic quality across multiple work cells in our integration and test facility. You'll be based on‑site full time at our new East Camden, Arkansas production campus.
Your impact
- Translate customer and contract requirements into robust control plans, control cards, visual aids, and work instructions for manufacturing.
- Qualify product and process through First Article Inspections and complete PPAP submissions.
- Shrink CoPQ by applying Lean and Six Sigma, conducting root cause analyses, and executing durable CAPAs.
- Institutionalize stability via process capability studies, Gage R&R, and ongoing SPC.
- Advance our QMS/BMS to AS9100 certification; maintain Quality Command media and report core metrics.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate third‑party audits to closure.
- Prepare and approve Acceptance Data Packages; embed quality requirements into proposals and program plans; estimate QA scope and costs.
- Serve as the customer advocate by generating concise, data‑rich reports and ensuring issues are resolved at the source.
What you'll need
- 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of STEM education and related experience.
- U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Comfort interpreting blueprints and material specifications.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience with quality systems and nonconforming material control; familiarity with FDA, SQF, GFSI.
- Root cause tools: 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto.
- Ability to operate independently with strong initiative.
Ideally, you also have
- Active/transferable Secret clearance.
- IFS ERP experience.
- DoD and non‑DoD contracting background; FAR/DFAR knowledge; EVMS.
- International customer experience and export/import regulation familiarity.
- ASQ credentials (CQE, CMQ/OE, CSQP, CQA).
- Lean/Six Sigma success with DMAIC, PPAP, DFMEA, DOE, SPC, GR&R, Cpk, plus Risk & Opportunity Scorecards.
- Experience building cost estimates and presenting to cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Where you'll be
East Camden, AR (on‑site). Travel up to 15% in the U.S., with occasional international travel.
Security clearance
Eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance is required. The process is adjudicated by the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO). Details:
