Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitization
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and applying protective finishes as needed
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures for specialized areas requiring deep cleaning or sanitation standards
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial and residential cleaning standards
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and scrubbers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various environments
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
