Rays for Rare | Light when skies are gray

Are you an organized, adaptable, and heart-forward professional looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? Rays for Rare is seeking a Program Coordinator to help bring uplifting support to medically fragile children and their families—while growing alongside a rapidly expanding nonprofit organization.

At Rays for Rare, supporting the whole family is our highest priority. Through practical support programs, advocacy, and community-building events, we walk alongside families navigating complex medical journeys and ensure they never feel alone. Our team is small, passionate, and deeply mission-driven—and we’re excited to welcome someone who shares that heart.

If you are detail-oriented, cheerful under pressure, and thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days look the same, this role may be the perfect fit.

About the Role

  • Collaborate effectively with volunteers, service providers, donors, and community partners
  • Follow office workflows to ensure efficiency and accountability
  • Maintain confidential files and records (client, donor, volunteer, financial, inventory, and events)
  • Support fundraising and outreach efforts, including grants, donations, sponsorships, and donor stewardship
  • Assist with newsletters, marketing materials, and storytelling efforts that reflect our mission and impact
  • Manage correspondence including phone calls, emails, letters, and packages
  • Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and identifying creative solutions to operational challenges
