Position Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing existing customer relationships in the residential and commercial market. This role focuses on educating customers about Raynor’s products and services, preparing accurate on time estimates, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial inquiry to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new sales through end users, new home builders, remodelers, contractors, commercial property managers, and business owners.
- Develop strong relationships with commercial customers to secure ongoing service agreements and preventative maintenance contracts.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on features, benefits, and pricing of garage doors, openers, and accessories.
- Assess customer needs, take accurate measurements, and prepare detailed estimates.
- Follow up on leads, maintain relationships with existing customers, and cultivate referral and repeat business opportunities.
- Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Accurately document sales activity in CRM or sales tracking system.
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience (residential, commercial, construction, building materials, or related industry preferred).
- Prior experience in garage door sales or installation is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to read and understand basic measurements, drawings, or specifications.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) is a plus.
