Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, educate patients on oral hygiene practices. Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and identify any signs of disease or abnormalities
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Open-dental)
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical coding and documentation as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in MA
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- knowledge of Dental coding and documentation practices
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Pay: From $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 per week
