We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on a commercial construction project in the Columbia, SC area. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Conduct daily site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Monitor quality control and address issues promptly.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, and owners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction management software is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
