What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager position at Raydar?
Product Manager
Compensation: Up to $175k Competitive Equity
Top 5 Amazon Seller & E-commerce Growth Platform | San Diego, On-Site
About the Role:
We're one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the United States — and we've built that position through 35 years of brick-and-mortar retail expertise and 12 years of deeply owning our own Amazon Seller and Vendor Central accounts. We're data-obsessed, bootstrapped, profitable, and growing fast — transitioning from a startup into a mid-market enterprise with 130 people and serious momentum.
We're looking for a Product Manager to lead two of our most critical 0-to-1 builds: a custom Warehouse Management System and a proprietary internal dashboard tool. This isn't a role where you inherit a mature roadmap. You'll be building from scratch, working directly with a lean engineering team, and owning the outcome end-to-end.
If you want to do meaningful product work at a company that actually ships and operates at scale, without the politics of a big tech org. This is the seat for you.
What You'll Do
- Lead the 0-to-1 build of a custom WMS and an internal proprietary dashboard, from requirements through launch and iteration
- Own and manage the product backlog — defining, prioritizing, and refining user stories and acceptance criteria with clear business rationale
- Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and engineering, ensuring alignment and clarity at every stage
- Translate high-level business goals into detailed, actionable product requirements and acceptance criteria
- Define KPIs and track product performance using SQL, analytics platforms, and A/B testing frameworks
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress directly to executive leadership including CEO and CAO
Why This Seat
- You're building two net-new internal products from scratch — real 0-to-1 ownership, not feature iteration
- Bootstrapped and profitable company with no VC pressure — decisions are made by operators, not investors
- One of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the U.S. with 35 years of retail expertise underpinning the business
- Fast promotions for people who deliver measurable impact — this team rewards ownership and results
- Lean engineering team means your product decisions ship fast and the feedback loop is immediate
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Have 5–10 years of PM experience with a strong track record of building 0-to-1 products — you've taken something from idea to production with a lean team
- Have direct experience building or optimizing a Warehouse Management System — this is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have
- Bring strong SQL proficiency and a data-driven mindset — you use analytics platforms, A/B testing, and quantitative insights to make decisions, not just intuition
- Have worked across a mix of smaller, ambiguous environments and larger organizations — you know how to operate with less structure and still deliver
- Are technically adept, you don't need to write code, but you can have a real conversation with engineers about complexity and trade-offs
- Have a clear ownership mindset and roll up your sleeves — you're action-oriented, move fast, and can point to measurable impact in prior roles
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary (Up to $175K base, flexible for the right candidate) Equity
- Direct access to executive leadership with fast decision cycles and no bureaucracy
- Full ownership of two high-priority, high-visibility product builds
- In-person culture in San Diego with a team that moves fast and values results over process
Must-Haves (Logistics)
- Based in San Diego or willing to relocate; on-site 5 days/week required
- U.S. citizens and green card holders only — NO visa sponsorship available
- WMS experience is non-negotiable
Salary : $175,000
