Manufacturing Manager

Raycom Electronics, Inc. a leading-edge manufacturer of custom transformers & inductors is looking to fill a position of Manufacturing Manager. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of custom magnetics for military, avionics, high end-commercial and mission critical space applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of salary and hourly production workers following manufacturing processes, procedures and training to ensure operational performance targets are achieved.
• Responsible for successful production, scheduling and quality performance of manufacturing operations. Maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields.
• Accurately plan and allocate resources, materials and scheduling of equipment for maximum utilization of production facility and personnel.
• Establishment of the physical layout of machinery, and creating the most efficient sequence of operation and flow.
• Accountable for budget, staffing, business and operational results with a customer interface and focus to achieve on time delivery and highest quality, while complying and fully supporting EH&S policies by continually enhancing safety throughout facility.
• Ensure proper training for all production personnel.

• Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS business or engineering degree required with 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Operational management experience in manufacturing and production control.
• Firm understanding of the fundamentals of MRP and Inventory control.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electronics background, preferably in transformers.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program; Value Stream Mapping, 5S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow.
• Highly motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment and who enjoys the challenges of process improvement and “lean” manufacturing initiatives.
• Success working in a high energy and fast paced manufacturing.
• Superior written and oral communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills required.
• Candidate must have excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
