What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Design Drafter Intern position at Raycap Inc?
The Engineering Design Drafter Intern is an integral part of the Raycap team located in Kearny, NJ. Using Autodesk Inventor, the intern completes 2-D and 3-D modeling and detailed fabrication design packages for the Electrical Control (Switchgear) industry.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment to analyze customer requirements and develop design solutions.
- Completes fabrication engineering drawings to ensure conformance standards.
- Compares material sizes detailed on fabrication drawings to the product’s availability & size parameters.
- Participates in engineering review meetings (ERM)
Required Education/Experience:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Must have experience using solid modeling for 3D and 2D CAD with CAD software
- Minimum of 1-year experience with Inventor/Autodesk software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work to a schedule and achieve timelines.
- Proficient with MS Office Products.
