Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled pediatric dentist to join our client's dental practice. This is a private office with an amazing reputation over several decades in the community. They have all state of the art offices with different specialists and an amazing staff!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery being highly desirable. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Execute dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and care.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques and proper handling of medical imaging equipment.
- Fabricate dental appliances as needed while demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns and educating patients on oral health practices.
- Collaborate effectively with dental office staff to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree
- Completion or in process of completing a Pediatric Dental Residency
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and patient care practices.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education.
