We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of custom and automated equipment solutions. This role focuses on creating efficient, high-quality mechanical designs while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and manufacturing support.

• Design and develop automotive Body-in-White (BIW) spot weld cells and fixtures, as well as chassis MIG weld cells and fixtures
• Create, review, and optimize 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks (CAD)
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver robust design solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related challenges throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, including NAAMS guidelines
• Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance and design improvements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency

• Strong expertise in designing automotive body in white Spot Weld cells and fixtures and Chassis MIG Weld cells and Fixtures
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and related CAD tools
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and applications
• Knowledge of NAAMS standards and industrial automation systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline

• Experience in automated equipment design and development
• Exposure to manufacturing environments and production support

• Delivering accurate, manufacturable designs within project timelines
• Effectively resolving design challenges with minimal rework
• Supporting seamless integration between design and manufacturing teams
