Marketing Coordinator or Manager (Based on Experience)
About Ray
Ray is building an AI-powered personal trainer for everyone, on a mission to help millions of people stay healthy through technology that can speak, listen, and watch you work out. We're a small, fast-moving team shipping daily with early product success, and this is your chance to shape the future of AI fitness from the ground floor.
We’re growing fast and excited to continue shaping our marketing team!
The Role
We're looking for a junior marketer who lives and breathes social media, and is excited to grow into a broader marketing generalist role. You'll own day-to-day social execution while getting hands-on exposure to ambassador management, content production, and event support. This is a high-growth seat for someone who wants to learn the full marketing stack at a startup.
What You'll Do
Social Media (primary focus)
- Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and community engagement across TikTok, Instagram, and other channels
- Track performance and flag what's working so we can double down on it
- Stay plugged into fitness/wellness culture and trending formats
- Support paid social creative testing
Ambassador Management
- Support outreach, onboarding, and day-to-day communication with ambassadors and content creators
- Coordinate shoot logistics, talent release forms, and deliverable tracking
- Help keep the ambassador content pipeline organized
Content Coordination
- Support short-form video production — scheduling, asset wrangling, light editing coordination with freelance editors
- Help maintain organized creative folders
- Assist with email and other campaign content as needed
- Work with UGC creators to generate more content for ads and social
Events
- Support planning and on-the-ground execution for brand activations, shoots, and partner events
- Handle logistics: vendor coordination, timelines, run-of-show docs, on-site support
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, content, or marketing (agency, brand, or startup experience all welcome)
- Genuinely online — you understand what makes content feel native vs. like an ad
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable juggling several workstreams and people at once
- Great communication skills — you'll be coordinating with creators, freelancers, and internal stakeholders regularly
- Bias toward action: comfortable in a startup environment with shifting priorities and limited hand-holding
- Interest in fitness/wellness is a huge plus!
Nice to Haves
- Experience running or supporting an ambassador/influencer program
- Basic video editing familiarity (CapCut or similar)
- Experience with email platforms (Customer.io or similar), Google Workspace, or project tools like Notion
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience
- Work setup: In-person, 5 days a week
- Other Benefits: Equity, unlimited vacation, access to 401K, free lunch every Tuesday at the IDEO building.
