Automotive Service Technician
Ray’s Tire Barn | Bossier City, LA
Full-Time | Hiring Multiple Technicians
Pay: $20–$31 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Ray’s Tire Barn is growing, and we’re looking for dependable Automotive Service Technicians to join our team. If you take pride in your work, enjoy working with your hands, and want to build your skills at a family-owned shop, we’d love to meet you.
Experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train motivated applicants. You don’t need to know every service on day one. Whether you’re an experienced technician or have a foundation in automotive maintenance and want to learn more, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your experience and training, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and routine vehicle maintenance
- Inspect and service brakes, including pads, rotors, and calipers
- Perform fluid services and flushes
- Complete front-end and four-wheel alignments
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
- Inspect steering and suspension components and assist with repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections and accurately document findings
- Follow shop procedures, complete quality checks, and perform authorized test drives
- Work with service writers and fellow technicians to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
What We’re Looking For
- Automotive, tire, brake, alignment, or general maintenance experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Dependability, attention to detail, and pride in quality workmanship
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a team
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and ask questions when needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting tires and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- ASE certifications or Louisiana vehicle inspection credentials are a plus but not required

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
