We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Multi-Craft Technician to join our team. The Multi-Craft Technician will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting operational efficiency.

Work Schedule: 2-2-3-night shift twelve hours 5pm-5am, with potential for overtime as required. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, forklifts and reach stackers to ensure optimal performance and longevity of facility assets.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues along with single phase, three phase, and DC motors up to 80 VDC quickly and efficiently.
• Service and repair automotive-type air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose and repair internal combustion engines using OE software.
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly by conducting corrective maintenance on malfunctioning equipment and systems.
• Maintain domain-specific spare parts inventory and manage work orders using a computerized system.
• Conduct bearing replacements and other mechanical tasks as required
• Participate in special projects focused on improving equipment designs and operational processes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with team members to support and facilitate training and development in maintenance skills, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, with a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, and internal combustion engines.
• Experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, with a focus on forklifts and reach stackers.
• Experience in building or assembling complete engines.•
  ASE certification or trade-specific technical training in automotive or heavy equipment is an asset.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities with hands-on experience in controls, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creative problem-solving techniques to resolve complex issues.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including forklifts and reach stackers.
• Prepared to work in various environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings, and able to handle exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, support training initiatives, and ensure clear documentation of maintenance activities.
• Perform rigging and lifting of heavy components/equipment while following all applicable safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of electrical control systems
• Ability to wire and verify operation of 3 phase, single phase and DC motors according to electrical schematics.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
