We are currently seeking a permanent full time Heavy Equipment Operator to join its vibrant team. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for
operating an overhead reach stacker to performing maneuvers to optimize yard space and operational efficiency.

Work Schedule : Day shift, 4 on 4 off, with schedule from 5am-5pm, with availability for additional hours if needed. 

Main Responsibilities:  

• Operate overhead reach stacker to move 20' and 40' shipping containers as per operational requirements. 

• Load and unload trucks with shipping containers when necessary. 

• Conduct daily pre-checks on equipment using company-provided software to ensure safe and efficient operation. 

• Coordinate with the previous shift’s operator to understand container lift operations and any ongoing concerns. 

• Fill out Pre-shift Top-Pick Inspection Form to document equipment condition before operation. 

• Verify radio reliability to maintain effective communication within the yard. 

• Confirm production priorities with shift supervisor to align operations with company goals. 

• Coordinate shipping priorities (late gates) with shift supervisor and/or dispatch for timely container handling. 

• Collaborate with various loading stations to provide empty containers for loading onto hostlers. 

• Offload loaded containers from hostlers to designated locations as directed. 

• Load and unload empty or loaded containers from port trucks as required 

Qualifications & Skills:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

• 6 months to 1 year of experience operating loaded container handlers or similar machinery. 

• First-class manual abilities  

• Good knowledge of computers for equipment operation and basic data entry. 

• Great learning skills and operational intelligence to adapt to changing operational needs. 

• Exemplary attitude and willingness to advance career-wise within the logistics industry. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. 

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills. 

• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously when needed. 

Work Environment :Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions
