Position Overview:

Ray Catena BMW of Westchester is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Counter person to join our team. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience by efficiently managing parts inquiries, orders, and inventory support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and takes pride in providing accurate and timely service to both customers and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full parts sales process, from initial customer inquiry through order fulfillment and invoicing
• Assist customers and service staff in identifying and sourcing the correct parts
• Coordinate with the Parts Manager to locate and procure out-of-stock items
• Process and track special orders, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status and arrival notifications
• Support inventory organization, stocking, and general warehouse duties as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient department operations
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred
• Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  
  
  

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds regularly
• Comfortable using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
