What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Music Teacher position at Rawson Saunders School?
Music Teacher | Rawson Saunders School | Austin, Texas
Rawson Saunders School is seeking a musician and educator who understands that music isn't just a subject — it's a language, and one that dyslexic learners often speak with remarkable fluency and feeling.
We're looking for someone who adores working with elementary-aged children — who finds genuine delight in their enthusiasm, their questions, and the energy that younger students bring to making music together. If you're the kind of teacher who leaves school on a Friday genuinely energized by your week, we want to meet you.
What Matters Most
Founded in 1997, Rawson Saunders is recognized internationally as a leader in learner-centered education and is the only full-curriculum, fully accredited school in central Texas exclusively for students with dyslexia. Committed to excellence and innovation, the mission of Rawson Saunders is to develop the full--and tremendous--potential of dyslexic students through an extraordinary education experience.
If you're ready to do some of the most meaningful and rewarding teaching of your career, we'd love to hear from you.
This position is for the 2026–27 school year. Rawson Saunders School is an equal opportunity employer.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Teaching experience required.
