Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail sales teams to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and employee orientation processes to build a strong team foundation
- Conduct staff training and development sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational procedures
- Manage scheduling shifts, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with excellent communication skills and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising experience
- Strong knowledge of retail math, including basic math for cash handling, pricing, budgeting, and sales analysis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with effective managerial communication skills and team management experience
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and operational procedures such as purchasing and bookkeeping
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous but not mandatory
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities
