Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately.
- Support nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing team promptly.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Assist with transporting patients to different areas within the healthcare facility as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician training program or equivalent certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG technician training.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
