RAW Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Package Manager (Engineering) to join a leading global marine engineering organisation in Houston.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to manage the delivery of critical equipment packages across major Floating Production Unit (FPU) projects. You'll be responsible for leading engineering packages from procurement through installation and commissioning, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
π± Manage the full lifecycle of assigned engineering equipment packages from engineering and procurement through installation, commissioning, and project handover.
π± Develop and maintain package execution plans, project schedules, progress reports, and key engineering deliverables.
π± Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure technical compliance throughout project execution.
π± Support procurement activities by preparing technical requisitions and coordinating procurement engineering deliverables.
π± Review vendor documentation, engineering drawings, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
π± Interface with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of vendor packages.
π± Manage vendor performance, inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and package delivery schedules.
π± Monitor package milestones, identify project risks, and proactively resolve technical and commercial issues.
π± Support installation, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
π± Act as the primary point of contact for all package-related technical and commercial matters.
π± Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and status updates for project management.
π± Foster strong collaboration between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and vendor teams to ensure successful package execution.
Requirements
β Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
β 15 years' experience in Equipment Package Management, Project Engineering, or EPC project delivery.
β Previous experience delivering offshore, FPSO, FPU, or major EPC engineering projects.
β Strong knowledge of engineering standards, industry codes, technical specifications, and project execution methodologies.
β Proven experience managing vendors, procurement engineering activities, technical documentation, and package delivery.
β Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), inspections, and engineering reviews.
β Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
β Ability to manage multiple engineering packages simultaneously while delivering against demanding project schedules.
β Willingness to travel for vendor audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and project meetings.
