Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Raw Resources Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on heavy equipment used in surface mining and construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
- Repair and maintain equipment including:
- Dozers
- Hydraulic excavators
- Articulated haul trucks
- Wheel loaders
- Motor graders
- Skid steers
- Water trucks
- Service trucks
- Other heavy construction and mining equipment
- Complete inspections and maintain maintenance records.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus but not required.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
