Ravenna Dental is looking for a dependable, organized, and personable Front
Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who
enjoys working with both patients and staff, is comfortable handling the administrative and
financial aspects of a dental office, and can help keep the day-to-day operations running
smoothly.
Responsibilities
● Maintain an efficient and welcoming patient experience
● Manage patient scheduling, cancellations, confirmations, and appointment flow
● Answer phones and assist patients with questions, concerns, and scheduling needs
● Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
● Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims
● Review insurance payments, EOBs and patient accounts
● Assist with accounts receivable, billing, payment collection, and outstanding balances
● Communicate treatment costs, insurance estimates, and payment options to patients
● Handle insurance pre-authorizations and follow-up as needed
● Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
● Help maintain office policies, procedures, and daily workflows
● Help address patient concerns and resolve issues professionally
● Work closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure smooth communication and
operations
● Perform other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
● Previous dental office or dental administrative experience preferred
● Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance preferred
● Experience with dental insurance billing and claims preferred
● Familiarity with dental practice management software; Dentrix Ascend experience is a
plus
● Strong computer and organizational skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment
● Professional, friendly, and compassionate approach with patients
● Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
● Ability to work independently while also being a team player
● Dependable and willing to take initiative
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the administrative side of the practice and help keep things organized and running efficiently. The right person will be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, communicating with patients and team members, and stepping in wherever needed. Dental office experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider the right candidate who has strong customer service and organizational skills.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.0 – 35.0 per week
