Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is seeking a dedicated, dependable, and motivated Head Custodian to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and security of an assigned school building while providing leadership and direction to custodial staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial personnel.
- Ensure the building and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Perform routine custodial and light maintenance duties.
- Monitor building systems and report maintenance concerns.
- Assist with building setup for school and community events.
- Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and safety procedures.
- Respond to emergencies and building-related issues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Experience in custodial or building maintenance work, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Must meet all Civil Service requirements for the position.
