Raven Mortgage is looking for a detail-driven Processor / Loan Officer Assistant who thrives on structure, accuracy, and getting loans to the closing table—not on chasing new business. This is a salaried role designed for a mortgage professional who loves working with files but doesn't want the constant pressure of lead generation. You'll serve as the backbone of the loan lifecycle: building relationships with referral partners and borrowers, preparing files for underwriting, managing communication between all parties, and ensuring every loan moves efficiently from application to close.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers throughout the loan process
- Gather, collect, and organize all documentation needed for underwriting approval with accuracy and efficiency
- Review credit, income, and assets to structure each file correctly
- Order and monitor third-party services, including appraisals, title work, and verifications
- Maintain organized, compliant loan files from start to close
- Communicate professionally with clients, Realtors, and internal team members throughout the "contact to contract" phase
- Submit files for TBD approval and coordinate closely with underwriters
- Collaborate with Loan Officers to improve overall process efficiency
- Lead every client interaction with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to care
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience (5 preferred); background as a Processor, Loan Partner, Loan Officer, or Underwriter ideal
- Strong understanding of loan structuring, DU/LP, and underwriting guidelines
- Active NMLS license, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
- Familiarity with mortgage processing and loan origination software
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple files and competing timelines simultaneously
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, solutions-focused mindset and a team-first attitude
