- Mentor and coach team members on safe work practices and expected behaviors
- Lead daily safety huddles at the start of each shift to reinforce priorities and communicate risks
- Ensure the team consistently follows all Ravago Life Safety Rules.
- Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in alignment with the PPE Matrix
- Engage and guide employees in the safe operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment..
- Direct and maintain housekeeping standards to support a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
- Oversee practices that prevent pellet spills and ensure immediate response when spills occur.
- Verify that all team members receive required training according to established plan and maintain training compliance.
- Report all safety and environmental incidents promptly and accurately, following company procedures..
- Quality:
- Ensure all incoming raw materials and finished goods are accurately labeled, properly received, and entered into the appropriate inventory systems.
- Oversee the integrity of packaging for both raw materials and finished products, ensuring materials meet company standards and are protected from contamination, damage, or misidentification.
- Operations:
- Maintain all raw material and finished goods warehouse areas in a tour‑ready and audit‑ready condition at all times, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
- Provide full support for physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and all internal and external audit requirements
- Oversee the staging, storage, and flow of all finished goods produced to ensure accuracy, traceability, and efficient movement.
- Direct the staging of finished goods for shipment, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and in alignment with customer and carrier requirements.
- Coordinate all customer requirements related to warehouse shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely communication and execution.
- Supervise carrier scheduling, including pickup coordination and rate management, to support efficient outbound logistics.
- Interview, select, coach, train, instruct, and manage team members, and conduct ongoing performance evaluations to support development and accountability
- Uphold and model the Ravago Code of Conduct, ensuring team adherence to company values and ethical standards
- Assist with inventory system bin moves, reconciliation activities, and resolution of inventory discrepancies to maintain data accuracy and system integrity.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipment scheduling, ensuring efficient coordination with carriers, production, and customer requirements.
- Prepare, review, and organize all shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Preparation and organization of outgoing/incoming shipment paperwork.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other approved material‑handling equipment, following all safety procedures and equipment guideline.
- Stage and de‑stage inventory to support production flow, ensuring materials are positioned accurately and on time for manufacturing needs.
- Process damages and non-conforming material.
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Computer data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
- Able to multi-task.
- Possess problem solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Self-motivator.
- Must be able to operate a fork truck.
