JOB TITLE: Production Tech / Operator
SHIFTS: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Purpose Of Role
Production Operator is responsible for maintaining and meeting all production goals as well as productivity, to obtain complete customer satisfaction through production value, and employee effectiveness.
Essential Functions
- Follow packaging instructions to properly complete a pack out.
- Assist with the cleaning of equipment and other department cleaning procedures.
- Review and complete assigned work orders.
- General assembly of boxes and other required packages.
- Assist with the warehouse, production, and rail yard sanitation.
- Inspect product to identify and remove contaminations.
- Assist with floor loads and other restacking projects.
- Assist with work orders for repacks. i.e. Box to bag, Box to box, Super sack to box, etc.
- Assist with railcar/container hook-ups.
- Assist with box/super sack to bulk truck repacks.
- Assist with the departments recycling program including gathering and bailing of corrugated cardboard, liners, super sacks etc.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.
- Operate a sit-down forklift.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or comparable combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as work orders, packaging request, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Operate a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to lift upwards to 55lbs.
- Use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally reach with hands, arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Able to stand 8 plus hours per day.
- Periodically move up & down stairs.
