What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical - Technical Business Support - RMA (USA) position at Ravago Americas?
Purpose
The purpose of this Technical Business Support Compounded Polypropylene (PP) role is to provide RMA Commercial Group and Ravago Sales channels with Technical support on product lines offered by Ravago Manufacturing Americas. Ensure profitable of RMA Products and sales growth on new product development and/or product transfer between facilities. Support internal and external customer satisfaction through the development, trialing, testing, improvement, formulation, maintenance and rationalization of RMA products, as well as obtain regulatory/customer specific approval of new and existing products.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. General Policy
a) Grow RMA sales through interface with Business Director, Ravago Sales Channels and RMA plants to successfully produce/develop customer offerings that meet technical specifications as well as RMA profitability.
b) Support Channel Sales Teams through recommendation of appropriate RMA products for specific applications, customer visits and presentations, as required.
c) Work closely with the Business Directors to align sales activities with RHA distribution channels.
d) Sample formulations, production, testing and approvals for new and/or improved RMA products.
e) Work jointly with Business Directors to define product offering to best achieve distribution channel sales objectives.
f) Product/Plant rationalization to support RMA organizational growth, acquisitions and profitability goals.
g) Manage customer approval, specification to ensure that the production team is set up for success.
h) Support RMA internal lab with testing, training, problem solving.
i) Investigate material issues from customer complaints.
j) Manage the SRN program, Special Request testing, schedule testing, Reporting.
k) Be recognized as a process & technical leader in the RMA manufacturing and sales organization.
l) Active participation in Channel Automotive teams.
m) Work with Business Director, Ravago Sales Channels on material specifications and other technical needs.
n) Develop measurables to demonstrate progress and success.
o) Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
p) Other duties as assigned by RMA Technology Manager.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1. Education:
a. BS or BA degree in a related technical field required.
2. Experience:
a. Sales training preferred.
b. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
c. Working knowledge of M365 Office Suite, Customer Management and Reporting tools.
d. Relevant Industry experience – preferred.
e. Knowledge of thermoplastic resins as well as conversion processes such as extrusion and injection molding preferred.
f. Strong negotiator who can identify customer needs and persuasive in presenting ideas.
g. Ability to show creativity in meeting customer expectations as well as differentiating the Ravago service offering.
h. Willingness to travel.
i. Desire and skill in uncovering new opportunities to sell RMA compounds with special emphasis on application development.
j. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Internally and Externally).
