Position Objective:
Develop, coordinate, promote, and execute commercial activities to generate new business opportunities for high-performance polyolefin resins. Additionally, maintain and increase sales with current customers by identifying and securing new opportunities that support the company’s positioning and growth.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a defined group of assigned customers, handling day-to-day business including order inflow, shipping and quality concerns.
  • Position the product portfolio to create and close new opportunities, ensuring effective pipeline management.
  • Drive growth within the assigned customer base, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Present a weekly report of activities and visits carried out.
  • Keep project statuses updated, focusing on their closure and maintenance.
  • Continuously prospect new clients through field visits, where applicable.
  • Manage collections when necessary.
  • Prepare material quotations according to the business model.
  • Manage credit line requests for clients, following RAVAGO’s established process.

 

Academic Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related Engineering fields.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the flexibles/films segment.
  • Strongly preferred: Previous experience in distribution companies. Candidates with experience in producers or converters will be considered.
  • Plus: Intermediate level of English.

 

Professional Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in the flexible packaging and films market is essential.
  • Familiarity with sales characteristics, common industry challenges, and payment methods.
  • Strong knowledge of plastics and transformation processes such as extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding.
  • Experience handling polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, and PA, with the ability to recommend other plastic resins.
  • Ability to interpret market trends, seasonality, and forecast material consumption.

 

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical knowledge of plastic resins, their applications, and production processes.
  • Understanding of the plastic packaging market (flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid).
  • Knowledge of specialty resin use, their market, and trends.

 

Additional Information:

  • Territory: Chile.
  • Location: Based in Santiago, Chile.
  • Travel Requirement: Approximately 25–40%, depending on business needs.
