Purpose
This position is responsible for driving the purchase order process between our internal teams and designated material supplies while maintaining a collaborative relationship and ensuring all internal parties are able to successfully service our customers.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. Purchase Order (PO) Management
a. Enter and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantity, and delivery dates.
b. Monitor and update purchase order ETAs, quantities, and supplier acknowledgments to minimize invoice and fulfillment discrepancies.
c. Manage back-to-back and inventory stock orders.
d. Perform daily open PO report reviews and communicate updates with internal stakeholders.
2. Supplier and Interdepartmental Coordination
a. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to resolve issues and enhance performance.
b. Track and trace railcars and direct shipments, preventing delays and managing detention/demurrage.
c. Serve as the primary liaison for inbound paperwork and coordination with warehouses and customs brokers.
d. Support intercompany transactions and confirm lot-level accuracy for timely sales invoicing.
3. Process Support and Back-Up
a. Act as the primary back-up for assigned buyers and assist with jobbing requests or escalations as needed.
b. Provide support to other purchasing team members during peak workload or absences.
c. Actively participate in daily team meetings focused on KPI tracking and process improvements.
4. All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1. Education:
a. Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
2. Experience:
a. 2 years of previous experience in a similar role required
b. Experience with Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related field is highly desired
3. Licenses / Certifications:
a. Valid driver’s license – required
4. Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

2. This position is a hybrid in-office and work-from-home role
3. May be required to travel to office locations in the USA as well as other countries based on the businesses involved in e-commerce sales
