What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician - 2nd Shift - Wadsworth position at Ravago Americas?
Hours: Mon-Thurs 4:00pm-2:00am (TRAIN ON FIRST 6:00AM - 4:00PM)
Objective / Purpose
Responsible for end product coming off of the stacker. Must follow procedures and get size and weights for slabs per card specification.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
Essential Functions:
- Safely set and maintain knives.
- Set aside any non-conforming material to be re-run.
- Maintain proper slab coatings and concentrations.
- Adjust cut length at stacker as needed.
- Adjust speed of cooling drums.
- Label finished product according to card specifications.
- Must accurately fill out batch tags on a daily basis.
- Ensure the batch count is correct.
- Assist in feeding calendar after a start-up or break in the material.
- Assist with materials in the staging area or non-conforming area as needed.
- Keep area and machinery clean.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures must be followed.
- Safeguard company property.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain company safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
- Uphold the RMA Code of Conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- One or more years experience in production is preferred.
- Forklift license preferred.
Work Environment / Conditions
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.
- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
- All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
