RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practice the principles of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines.
- Serves as a key member of the local leadership team, advising the GM and functional leaders on all employee related issues, strategy, and organizational effectiveness.
- Acts as the single point of contact for the channel for all Corporate Human Resources policies, guidelines, and programs, ensuring consistent application and compliance across the business unit.
- Consults with line management, providing specialized, general HR guidance and interpretation of Corporate HR policies as appropriate.
- Manges and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, ensuring regulatory compliance and partnering with the Corporate HR and other departments as required.
- Proactively communicates any legal or compliance issues to the GM and Corporate Human Resources.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action) within the framework of corporate policies.
- Works closely with management and employees to continue improving work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identifies local training needs for the business unit and individual career coaching needs, coordinating with Corporate Human Resources for program delivery or development.
- Drives local community stewardship activities, including participation in charitable/community organizations, promoting company values.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, with experience in a standalone or generalis role preferred.
- Professional HR certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including staffing, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Experience working in a logistics and distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment a plus.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Applications.
