Our team is looking for a VP for a specialty manufacturer in West Michigan that's looking to add an executive to lead Finance and IT where you'll be reporting directly to the President. The company has been around for decades and is in a strong season of growth and you could be a pillar of that continued growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current state of finance and IT across the business, then recommend a plan and sequence to the President
- Rebuild product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting so leadership can price, invest, and plan with confidence
- Lead Finance and Accounting, including the monthly close, cash management, and banking relationships
- Own audit, tax, insurance, and compliance
- Support the Board on financial matters
- Lead IT, and make sure ERP and business systems keep up with the company’s growth
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and sales so the numbers reflect how the business actually runs
- Develop the finance and IT teams, and bring long-tenured employees along through the change
What we’re looking for
- Senior finance leadership at a manufacturer, as a CFO, VP Finance, or enterprise-level Controller
- A finance transformation you led from assessment to results and can walk us through step by step
- Experience leading IT or partnering closely on ERP and business systems
- A track record of bringing long-tenured teams along through change
- Confidence recommending a direction to senior leadership and then owning it
- Comfort working with operations, engineering, and sales, not only in the close
- A preference for building a long career at one company
- An accounting or finance degree (preferred); a CPA or MBA is a plus
