What You’ll Do (Bus Driver)
- Provide friendly, high‑quality customer service as the front-line representative of Arlington Trolley and RATP Dev USA.
- Safely operate trolley-style buses through a variety of city and freeway conditions.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making only designated stops unless directed by Dispatch.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local safety and traffic regulations.
- Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities, using the wheelchair lift and securing safety restraints.
- Follow all company safety procedures to ensure accident-free operations.
- Operate vehicle equipment including farebox, radio, lift, emergency tools, and hatches.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete DVIRs in accordance with FMCSR requirements.
- Communicate detours, incidents, or accidents to Dispatch and follow directions promptly.
- Make safe, independent decisions based on training, experience, and company standards.
- Collect fares and document passenger counts accurately.
- Report all accidents or unusual incidents in or around the vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and Air Brakes endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of CDL B driving experience
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical Exam
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to handle public interaction professionally
- Pay: $18.87 per hour Schedule: Part-time, approximately 25–30 hours per week Orientation: 40-hour paid training over two weeks
