Part-Time Office & Facility Cleaner

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Office & Facility Cleaner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our office and facility spaces. Your efforts will ensure that all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and compliant with safety standards, contributing to a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to be an essential part of our facilities maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, common areas, and facility floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Handle various cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards.
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment safely and effectively for floor care and maintenance.
• Manage chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.
• Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries while moving furniture or cleaning supplies.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supply inventories, and safety compliance checks.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or light painting is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
