What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Artist position at Rather Outdoors?

We’re looking for that person that is self-motivated, willing to take on challenges head-on and is able to adapt as needed to find solutions on the spot to ensure a project is executed at the highest level.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in fulfilling all Creative Services design projects.
- Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the greater Marketing team.
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience for all brands.
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines.
- Present completed ideas to clients/team members.
- Collaborate with the creative team across multiple mediums.
- Produce and present sketches, storyboards and/or rough concepts to visualize ideas.
- Assist in planning and execution of photo shoots.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related area preferred.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Proven background and/or knowledge of general graphic design skills and processes.
- Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices.
- Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well.
- Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and/or wire-framing tools.
- Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design.
- Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work within project timelines.
- Photography experience preferred.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications skills.
- Fishing or Outdoor Industry experience preferred.
