Rathbone Falvey Research is a boutique, woman-led, Boise based research company. We’re a small collaborative team with an anthropological approach. We love people and are compelled by human behavior which positions us perfectly to observe and study. We’re located in a fast-growing community which means we have access to new thinking and opinions for insights, panels, and focus groups.
We have a variety of research capabilities and options which include our new in-person focus group facility. We are tech-savvy, bring an understanding of the digital space, and can access the most effective research and analysis methods. Our agile research team has experience working for local, state, and national clients across industries including non-profit, education, media, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, technology, and local and state government organizations.
We are looking for a creative thinking, curious person who likes research, marketing, people, business and learning to join our team in the role of Research Analyst.
No day on this job will be the same. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, change, and loves to learn. You don't need to know everything for this job, but you need to be open to learning new things on the fly, and feel confident in your research skills for finding out answers and solutions to problems.
A background in marketing, recruiting, research, psychology, anthropology, sociology, rhetoric, startups, or business might mean you have the type of personality to succeed in this role - but we are open to all backgrounds.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Setting up research objectives and KPI’s for client research projects
- Drafting Research Plans
- Creating surveys and deploying them
- Analyzing data and data visualization
- Creating and delivering reports to clients
- Creating discussion guides for qualitative research
- Moderating interviews
- Moderating focus groups
- Recruiting research participants
- Meeting with clients
- Compile secondary research
- Plan meetings and coordinate with clients
- Manage project deadlines and deliverables
Skills and Desired Experiences
- 2 - 5 years in a research role, with experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
- Comfortable navigating data sets, Excel spreadsheets or Google sheets
- Self-directed person who is unafraid to take initiative
- Technologically fluent in internet search, Google systems (Docs, etc), and a fearless approach to new technologies
- Self-motivation - you see a problem or an opportunity and come up with a plan.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Any project management skills, or the ability to break down a project into parts, and see it through to completion preferred
- Some education or an ability to demonstrate a love of learning

This job will be partially on-site in downtown Boise, with some flexibility to be partially remote.
