Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the early stages of construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of preconstruction are meticulously planned and executed. This position requires a strong background in construction management, estimating, and project management, along with excellent negotiation skills. The Preconstruction Manager will collaborate closely with clients and subdontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

• Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Conduct thorough construction estimating.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control throughout the preconstruction process.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to align project goals and timelines.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
• Provide guidance on pricing strategies to ensure competitive bids while maintaining profitability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all preconstruction activities for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction management or a related field, with a strong understanding of the construction process.
• Demonstrated ability in cost control, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation.
• Prior experience on construction sites is beneficial for understanding practical challenges.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
