In connection with Rate’s emphasis on overall wellness, the Company is investing in multiple new lines of business outside traditional mortgage lending, that will optimize the customer database to introduce new health and financial wellness products and services. This is a newly created role that will be the lead Accounting and Finance leader for these business lines. We are looking for someone who can drive operational efficiency and financial performance as we scale from startup to a high-growth phase, optimizing workflows and building repeatable processes.
Pay Range: $110,000- $130,000 annually
Location: 3940 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL 60613
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing all accounting aspects including managing the monthly close in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversight and full responsibility for the quality of all Balance Sheet monthly reconciliations prepared by the Accounting Team
- Preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Interpret financial directives from upper management and establish procedures for carrying out directives
- Collaborate with the executive leadership on financial modeling and performance
- Coordinate with Financial Planning & Analysis team on financial variance analysis
- Partner with Controller and Assistant Controller in developing internal control framework and accounting work flow
Qualifications:
- CPA designation mandatory.
- Accounting degree mandatory.
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Possess strong business acumen with the ability to effectively address both financial and operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build a strong Accounting Team
- Attention to detail, data driven and hands-on
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
