Part-Time Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

At RASI Electric, we’re looking for a licensed Texas Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in doing quality work, treating customers with respect, and representing our family-owned company with professionalism.

This is a part-time position with the expectation that it will grow into a full-time role as our workload continues to increase. We’re looking for someone who is excited about becoming a long-term member of our team and helping us continue to grow.

Our projects are primarily residential service, repairs, troubleshooting, remodels, panel upgrades, lighting installations, generator hookups, EV charger installations, and small commercial projects throughout Southeast Texas. Every day is a little different, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, can work independently, and will be a dependable member of our team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial electrical issues.
• Install, maintain, and service electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings.
• Perform panel upgrades, lighting installations, receptacle and switch replacements, ceiling fan installations, surge protection, portable generator connections, transfer switch installations, and EV charger installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics when required.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code and applicable local electrical codes.
• Communicate professionally, clearly, and courteously with customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete jobs accurately while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Properly document work performed and communicate job details to company leadership.
• Drive company vehicles responsibly and maintain a professional appearance while representing RASI Electric.

Requirements

• Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Residential electrical experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local electrical requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with multimeters, hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, and other essential electrical tools.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other residential jobsite conditions as needed.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Ability to pass any required background check or drug screening.

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
