Role Description
This is a full-time position for an Architect located on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Architect will oversee the design and development of building plans, ensuring functionality, safety, and sustainability. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to understand project requirements, developing blueprints and models, managing project timelines, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals for successful project execution. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and integrating innovative architectural solutions into designs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in architectural design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards
- Experience in project management, construction documentation, and cost estimation
- Exceptional creativity and innovation in design concepts and problem-solving
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for client and team interactions
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field
- Licensure in architecture or progress toward licensure is preferred
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus
