What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant II position at RAS Companies?
This position will be based out of our Sioux Falls, SD office location, and offers a hybrid work from home opportunity.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the financial services industry is required; insurance industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience in developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts is preferred
- Strong knowledge and working experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); working knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) preferred
- Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports
- Proven decision making and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software packages; experience with NetSuite a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
